Two field experiments were carried out to evaluate the effects of secondary effluent on the growth, development and quality of tomato fruit.Tomato plants irrigated with secondary effluent or secondary effluent plus fertilizer had higher vegetative growth (Plant height and leaf numbers) and dry matter partitioning to the various plant parts. The plants irrigated with secondary effluent had significantly (P< 0.01) higher leaf magnesium, calcium, potassium and sodium compared to the control plants.Tomato plants irrigated with secondary effluent had significantly (< 0.001) higher root magnesium, calcium, iron and sodium compared to control plants.
