Quality assurance,incorporating food safety,is becoming well established in the vegetable industry around the world.There are different drivers for the implementation of these QA systems in the vegetable industry around the world.In developed countries on farm HACCP based plans have been adopted due to pressures from supermarkets and other buyers including fresh markets.Supermarket own systems and more general QA systems have been used by growers to meet these new requirements.
