Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease comprising neoplasms of various histologic types, grades and outcomes.In 2013 breast cancer accounts for a significant number of patients death throughout the world mostly due to tumor relapse and metastasis.There is a critical need to identify new biomarkers and molecular pathways for targeted therapy.Using high throughput analyses we have been successful in identifying patterns of gene expression which correlate with histological types, grades and molecular classification of breast cancers.Our comprehensive approach to biomarkers discovery will be described and specific examples of this powerful approach will be provided for discussion.
