  In this study, a novel reversed stationary phase based on dithiourea derivative modified silica (DT-Sil) was prepared and characterized, by infrared spectra and elemental analysis.Compared with the traditional C18 stationary phase, the new stationary phase has a more polar molecule structure, and the separation mechanism appears to involve multi-interaction including π-π, hydrophobic and hydrogen-bonding interactions.Using this stationary phase, aniline compounds, phenol compounds, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, organophosphorus pesticide mixture and natural product mixtures were successfully separated respectively in reversed phase chromatography mode.Furthermore, the repeatability and stability of the DT-Sil stationary phase were also investigated.The results indicated that the novel reversed stationary phase, which possessed symmetric peak shape, high separation efficiency and good separation selectivity in RP-HPLC, was a good complement to the C 18 stationary phase.
