我县是豫东黄河冲积平原,早春低温、干旱,直接影响春播作物的生长和粮棉产量的提高。为了大力推广棉花营养钵育苗,提高棉花产量,我们于一九七三年十一月到北京参观学习保墒增温剂。在批林批孔运动的推动下,破除迷信,解放思想,自力更生,土法上马,保墒增温剂终于在我县试制成功,并投入生产。全县十三个公社,五百二十六个生产队,生产使用保墒增温剂二万六千余斤,育棉苗四千余床,代替了塑料薄膜,效果良好,为我县大力发展棉花生产,减少投资,提高产
