Objective: To investigate the advantages of chimeric perforator flap combined with 3D printed model applied for reconstruction of defects of mandible. Methods: Four patients with defect of mandible were repaired and reconstructed by chimeric perforator flap combined 3D printed model and analyzed retrospectively.Firstly, the pathogenic mandible was scanned by computed tomography and the 3D image was modified and established by the co-operators software. Then the mandible resin model on which we can design the bone cut line and preflex the titanium plate was manufactured by 3D printed technology. On this model, two location plates were made according to the position of the preflexed titanium plate before the operation so that the position of the titanium plate would be fixed accurately and rapidly in the operation.A perforator flap combined with bone graft, we called chimeric perforator flap, was harvested and the bone graft was moulded according to the shape of the titanium plate preflexed pre-operation and fixed to the position designed pre-operation after vascular anastomosis. Then the skin flap was applied to the defects of soft tissues.
