Objective: To discuss the feasibility and usefulness of multiple tissue flap—buccal fat pad and temporalis facia flap,as an interpositional graft combined with costochondral graft TMJ reconstruction in the treatment oftemporomandibular joint (TMJ) ankylosis.Methods: A Prospective study of 5 patients with TMJ ankylosis (3 unilateral and 1 bilateral) was performed with pre-op panaroma, CT scanning and 3D reconstruction, convert in to MIMICS to evaluate the ankylosis and measure resection, transfer temporalis facia flap as an first interpositional graft, use BFP (buccal fat pad) as secondary interpositional graft to TMJ ankylosis region combined with costochondral graft to reconstruct the TMJ, follow-up of 3 months to 1 years.
