Background Recent studies suggest that cystatin C is an independent risk factor for arterial pulse wave velocity (PWV) in older adults or in population with normal kidney function.But this relationship in young adult population is not fully established.We hypothesize that Cystatin C,creatinine or estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) could be used to predict PWV in young adult population.
