As a well-known Chinese medicine, Eucommia ulmoides has the function of regulating blood pressure, reducing blood sugar and fats, anti-oxidant and anti-microbial.In the present study, a sensitive ultra high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrum (UPLC-MS/MS) method was developed for the simuhaneous determination of five major active ingredients, including geniposidic acid (GA), protocatechuic acid (PCA), chlorogenic acid (CA), (+)-pinoresinol di-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (PDG) and (+)-pinoresinol 4'-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (PG), from a traditional Chinese medicine E.ulmoides extract in rat plasma.
