　　Sinomenine is extracted from the rhizome of Sinomenius actum Rehd.etwils.and leaves of Menispermun dauricum Dc.Our previous studies firstly found that sinomenine can play a therapeutic role for neuropathic pain.Its analgesic effect may be related to inhibiting extracellular GLU level in striatum.In the present study, photochemically induced sciatic nerve injury (PISNI) rats model were established by exposed sciatic nerve irradiated under an argon ion laser (514 nm, 160w) for 13 min after iv injection of photosensitizing dye ervthrosine B.Then the pharmacokinetics of sinomenine in the rat plasma were compared after intraperitoneal injection of sinomenine hydrochloride (40 mg/kg) to normal rats and PISNI rats.
