Our researches have focused on the discovery and development of novel fluorine-18-substituted positron emission tomography(PET) imaging agents.Efficient methods to provide various fluoro-substituted nitrobenzenes as synthons are important for design and synthesis of fluorophenyl-substituted PET radiotracers.In this study,a series of fluoro-substituted nitrobenzenes was prepared starting from 2-and 4-fluoro-substituted benzene derivatives.Various nitration reaction conditions were studied and the reactions were monitored by GC.Target fluoro-substituted nitrobenzenes were obtained in 70~90% yields.
