为了促进宜都市玉米生产全面持续稳定发展,充分挖掘玉米增产潜力,2009年市农业技术推广中心扎实开展玉米优质高产创建工作。通过选定优质高产当家品种,实行玉米塑盘和营养钵(块)薄膜育苗移栽技术,全面实施测土配方施肥技术,推广病、虫、草害综合防控技术等综合措施,实现了万亩示范区平均亩产604.6kg,千亩展示片平均亩产632.2kg,百亩高产攻关田平均亩产657.8kg的产量目标。
