The Third Plenary Session of the 14th Central Committee of the Party has formulated a blueprint for realizing the transition of our country from the old economic system to the new economic system. The grand goal of socialist modernization has inspired the broad masses of the people in the country. Establishing a socialist market economic system is a profound social change. This change involves many aspects of the economic base and the superstructure and inevitably leads to many changes in people’s ideas and lifestyles. In the face of such a new situation, we must step up our efforts in publicizing ideological work, pooling the hearts and minds of the party, stimulating the great enthusiasm and creativity of the people and pushing forward the construction of the reform.
