碑林,有曲阜碑林,有西安碑林等。曲阜碑林中保存着大量的天然大理石碑碣及其石刻,其中孔庙内珍藏有历代帝王碣文、祭孔石碑1000多块,孔府有碑石100余块,孔林有3000余块碑石。在时代上,有两汉、魏、晋、南北朝、隋、唐、五代十国、北宋、南宋、辽、金、元、明、清、民国,代代都有,字体上,有篆、隶、楷、行、草,诸体皆备,内容上,有政治、经济、军事、文化、地震、水灾、旱灾,无所不记,是中国研究中华文化沿革、书法艺术、历代政治、经济、军事的珍贵文物资料。见图1。
