宋代是游记文学的兴盛期。宋代记游诗文具有主理尚意,长于议论的特点;记游宋词,则具有市井气象,黍离之悲的特点。有宋一代,在旅游活动的舞台上唱主角的是颇有文艺素养的文人士大夫。他们有着强烈的忧国忧民的忧患意识,在旅游活动中注重通过欣赏实在具体的景物去追求和领悟理趣。这些正是宋代游记文学特点形成的深刻原因。
