拜讀中国农业科学院中兽医研究所編之“中兽医針灸学”一书,(1960年农业出版社出版) 第13頁中云:”……相传春秋战国时代秦穆公的监軍少宰伯乐(孙阳),不但善于相馬,且更精通兽医,著有“伯乐針經”一书,”。在畜牧兽医界許多同志,也都认为“伯乐針經”是伯乐著,这种看法显然是不够正确。我认为本书是后世托伯乐之名,前面冠以“伯乐”二字罢了。考伯乐善于相馬这是确钻的,但善于治馬和施針烙术的說法那就不一定了。考古书目看出:汉书艺文志內无伯乐針經,更无兽医书目。隋书經籍志载有伯乐治馬杂病經一
