索因卡在认识与理解非洲传统的过程中经历了很多困惑和艰辛,所以对待非洲传统的态度自始至终都在改变,而且这种不断变化在他不同时期的文学创作中得到了最充分地体现出来。早期创作对非洲传统持怀疑甚至否定态度,企盼欧洲现代文明拯救非洲;中期创作开始肯定非洲传统文化,宣扬传统与现实、非洲与西方的融合,寻求对非洲传统的超越;后期创作又回归约鲁巴传统,把希望寄托于非洲神话世界,走向非洲中心主义。
Sowinka experienced many puzzles and hardships in understanding and understanding African traditions, so his attitude toward African traditions has been changing all the time, and this change has been fully reflected in his literary creation in different periods . Early creations hold doubt or even negative attitude toward African traditions and look forward to the European modern civilization saving Africa. The mid-term creations begin to affirm the traditional African culture, promote the integration of tradition and reality, the integration of Africa and the West, and seek to go beyond the traditional African tradition. Later creations return to Yoru Pakistan tradition, the hope placed on the myth of Africa’s world, to the African centrism.
