《骆驼祥子》是老舍最具代表性的作品,在中国现代文学史上具有重要地位。其语言特色可概括为白、俗、俏、深,主要体现在其北京方言的运用和俗白凝练的文风上。这也是本文分析《骆驼祥子》及其英译本的重要思路。自问世以来,《骆驼祥子》先后有四个英译本。四位译者分别是伊文?金、琼?詹姆斯、施晓菁和葛浩文,鉴于其可读性及文学价值,本文最终选取了施晓菁和葛浩文的两个英译本作为文本分析的对象。后殖民主义翻译理论起源于后殖民主义理论,研究
“Camel Shoko” is the most representative work of Lao She, and plays an important role in the history of Chinese modern literature. Its language features can be summarized as white, vulgar, pretty, deep, mainly reflected in the use of its Beijing dialect and vulgar style. This is also the important idea of analyzing “Camel Xiangzi” and its English version. Since its inception, “Camel Shoko” has four English versions. The four translators are Evans King, Jean James, Shi Xiaojing and Ge Haowen. In view of their readability and literary value, this thesis chooses two English versions of Shi Xiaojing and Ge Haowen as objects of text analysis.
