王澍目前在中国美术学院建筑系任教,不同于惯常的学院派作风,他以民间和业余的状态进行着设计实践,并以传统的书院式教学方式进行着全新的建筑教育实验。就像他的工作始终对生活中各种自发性的事物保持着新鲜的兴趣一样,个人性与独立性被认为是工作室工作的实验性的保证。他结合对当下城市和乡土建造的平行研究,坚持思考如何在原有结构瓦解的中国城市重建有地域根源的场所织体,如何让与山水共存的中国传统建筑类型活用在今天的现实,如何面对当下中国城市特有的大规模拆毁重造现象,以循环建造方式体会本土建造传统,并在项目中坚定的实践着“重建一种当代中国本土建筑学”的主张。他的作品强调建造,注重地域性传统工艺与材料的运用,并且深得江南文化的精髓,具有中国传统文人园林的气质,而他作品中的文化批判意识,也表现为对传统的颠覆和再发掘。
Wang Shu currently teaches at the architecture department of the China Academy of Art.
