从茶树栽培的角度,人们总希望在单位面积里茶树能产生更多更好的茶叶原料,围绕这一目的,多少年来人们已从土肥、修剪、耕作、采摘等方面做了大量工作,取得了不少高产优质栽培经验。从茶叶加工的角度,人们总希望充分发挥鲜叶的潜在品质,加工出最佳的各类茶叶,围绕这一宗旨,在加工工艺组合上,一些外在物理影响因素方面也取得了许多经验。但在当今商品生产中,质量和价格诸方面都面临着剧烈的竞争,仅依靠常规的栽培措施和物理手段要想达到最大限度地提高茶叶产量和品质,存在着相当大的局限性。为此各产茶国都寄希望于新技术的应用,现将近几年这方面的进展简述如下。

However, in today’s commodity production, the quality and prices are facing fierce competition in all aspects. Only by relying on conventional cultivation measures and physical means to achieve the maximum yield and quality of tea, there are considerable limitations. To this end, all tea-producing countries have placed their hopes on the application of new technologies. The progress made in these areas in recent years is summarized as follows.
