新矿集团现有矿处级生产及服务性事业单位30个,是一个以国有资产为主体,多种所有制并存,以煤为主,多种产业共同发展的大型企业集团。全公司人口20多万人,其中,在册职工6.6万人,离退休职工、内退人员、各类遗属、长病长伤、下放人员5.8万人。为实现离退休职工管理同生产经营的分离,新矿集团于2000年成立了离退休职工管理服务中心,建立了党委,成为下属二级单位。离退休中心集老龄工作,老干部工作、老年体协于一体,在矿区内建起了17个管理服务站,形成了一套较为完整的管理服务网络,对管理服务对象实行专业化管理,社会化服务。取得了良好社会效果。
