在计算机应用日益广泛的今天,大容量存储器的市场是十分广阔的。随着微机主机性能的不断提高,许多国家(如日本、美国、法国等)近年来都致力于新型外部存储设备——激光光盘机的开发研究。只读式光盘机已进入实用阶段,随机读写式光盘机也有成品出售。但目前市场上的随机读写式光盘机有两大弱点:其一是存取时间慢,其二是误码率较高,因而大大影响了这种设备的推广。

However, at present, there are two major weaknesses in the random read-write optical disk drive on the market: one is that the access time is slow, and the second is a high bit error rate, which greatly affects the promotion of such devices.
