党的十一届三中全会以来,我国的档案事业充满了生机与活力。近年来,由于《档案法》的颁布与实施,档案事业得以健康发展。为了加强档案工作的宏观管理和科学决策,我们对本市档案的门类、数量进行了抽样调查。 一、调查的内容、范围及方法 调查的内容是1984～1987年本市各机关、企事业单位所形成的档案数量、类别、保管期限及各种类和各保管期限档案之间的比例情况。调查的年限之所以划定为1984～1987年,是因为这几年的档案工作发展比较正常,档案机构比较健全,制度比较完善,档案工作人员业务素质比较好,档案形成积累过程比较健康,尤其是这几年档案增长的趋势最接近未来,可以较实际地预测未来。
