从最近召开的计算机管理档案学术讨论会的论文上看,我国档案部门在使用计算机方面的水平,较以前有了很大的提高,发生了显著的变化,已从实验阶段向着实用阶段过渡,在程序设计方面考虑了优化问题、节省存贮介质问题,在数据采集方面有许多新颖而符合实际的作法,在机型上也从单台微机发展到微机局部网络,还增加了小型机和中型机。可以预见,在计算机管理档案的应用中,必将会出现百花齐放、竞相争艳的局面。在档案管理现代化蓬勃发展的今天,使人想到一个问题,就是加何将我们现在的水平向更高一个层次推进,今后的研究方向是什么?我认为,任何一个学科的一项新技术的应用,都要依赖于这个学科的基础研究,只有精深的基础研究,才能有高水平的应用研
