Aim: Dandelion extracts have been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for treatment of breast diseases.Our research demonstrated that dandelion water extract (DWE) and methanol extract (DME) both have anti-tumor effects on MCF-7 cell lines in vitro (DWE: IC50 =0.3 mg/mL , DME: IC50 =0.15 mg/mL).Serum pharmacological method has many advantages on herb studies, so we want to investigate dandelion extract anti-tumor effects on MCF-7 cell lines ex vivo by serum pharmacological method.
