INES laboratories and test facilities are covering all the important processing steps of crystalline silicon PV cells and modules:Si feedstock purification, crystallisation, wafering, cell processing, and module manufacturing. These facilities gather conventional manufacturing equipment, advanced equipment specifically developed for innovative processes, and characterisation tools for performing comprehensive and in-depth analysis. The main advantages of this broad range of equipment are:-the control of all parameters, from the materials used in the process to the final processing steps-the possibilities to prove the impact (efficiency, yields) of any innovation at one processing step over the whole value chain.-the capacity to speed-up the time duration to transfer any innovation on real manufacturing lines.Using these flexible infrastructures,INES has been developing together with several industrial partners the monolike crystallization process at an industrial scale, which means on G5 and on G6 silicon ingot. After detailing the main challenges and issues, this presentation will underscore the main advances performed so far,in terms of :?Quality of the silicon material all along the block height, with a comparison to Cz wafers ?Yield of the monolike process ?Yield of the wafering process depending on the type of sawing technique ?Average cell efficiency obtained with this process, depending on the cell design and processing steps. We will also address our outlook for this technology in the coming years.
