Solar photovoltaic plays an important role in the global energy scenario due to the increasing energy crisis,carbon footprint and environment changes.Silicon based solar cells dominate the PV technology in an industry level because of the ease of processing,and efficiency figures.However the cost of conversion is relatively high in production.It is highly important to fabricete the high efficiency solar cells at lower cost.Though it is a mature technology,it has umpteen opportunities to enhance its electrical performance at reduced cost by refining or by slight modification of conventional solar cell process.In this work,we present a low temperature oxidation processes for emitter surface passivation and Ni/Cu front contacts.
