When light passes through a dielectric microsphere it can form a narrow jet-like focused beam,namely,photonic nanojet.The cross-section of the nanojet can reach subwavelength scale without using high power microscope objectives [1].In addition,when a nano-object(e.g.,molecule,nanoparticle,or virus)enters the nanojet the back scattering signals can be collected by the same microsphere with a high efficiency.These unique properties make photonic nanojet an interesting tool for imaging,sensing and lithography [2].
