　　Aims:Hyaluronic acid (HA)/polyethyleneimine-dexamethasone (PEI-Dex)/DNA ternary complexes were developed for targeted gene delivery to improve the transfection efficiency and decrease the cytotoxicity of polycation non-viral gene carriers.Methods:The formation of ternary complex was evaluated by gel retardation assay.The particle size,zeta potential and morphology of ternary complexes were investigated.Their transfection effciency,cytotoxicity,in vitro cellular uptake were evaluated systemically.Cytotoxicity was analyzed by MTT assay.
