  In this talk, we will attempt to provide an overview on biofluiddynamics of animal flight and swimming and the relevant biomimetic technology carried out in the authors team.We will briefly highlight our recent work, including measurements of fish free-swimming and dragonfly free-flight, experimental and computational studies based on models, theoretical analysis on modeling animal flight and swimming, and biomimetic investigation of robo-fish and underwater vehicle.
