The immersed boundary method (IBM) is an innovative approach for modeling flow field with complex geometries and is more efficient than traditional method[1-4], i.e.unstructured or Cut cell method.In the present investigation, the shock wave propagation over one and multiple circular cylinders is simulated numerically with the IBM.The approach is based on the AUSMDV method.To validate the IBM used in our code, a plane incident shock wave with a Mach number of 2.4 passing through a square cylinder is chosen as an example, comparison of our results with previous experiments[5] are shown in Fig.1.
