The Pseudo Shock Wave (PSW), which appears when supersonic flow in duct decelerates to subsonic, is a complicated process due to the interaction between boundary layer and shock wave.It is made up of complex shock train region and mixing region and significantly affects the performance and efficiency. In this paper, PSW in two kinds of variable cross-section ducts, edge-varied and corner-varied, were researched through CFD numerical simulation. The configurations of variable cross-section ducts were designed to have linear transformation from entrance rectangle to exit circle in two different ways and all cross-sections area remained constant axially. The identical incoming flow and different pressure ratios were considered.
