Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) is a degenerative disease of CNS, featuring Parkinsonism, autonomic dysfunction,cerebellar ataxia and pyramidal sign in any combination.This study is to show the neuroprotective effect of erythropoietin (EPO) administration in rat model of MSA using behavioral test and IHC (immunohistochemistry) for dopamine neurons and microglia.
