Patrizia Russo is a biologist with a Ph.D.in Microbiology.Since 1987she acquired competence in molecular and cellular biology as well as in lung cancer animal models. She was a chief of Laboratory since many years. She is in the editorial Board of different Jounals.Since 2000, she started to study lung cancer and mesothelioma biology. Then she was involved both in lung cancer early detection in smokers and in the development of new drugs, producing quite important results. She studied the effects of organophosphates drugs, used as pesticides, on cholinergic system of human neuronal stem cells looking at neurodegeneration.
