Objective: To simulate three-dimensional finite element model of mandibular body defect reconstruction with fibula before and after remove the miniplates ,and analyze biomechanical changes of these two models ,and to provide mechanical reference for the postoperative choice of keeping titanium plate. Methods: By getting the CT data of mandible and fibula of normal adult, Mimics and ANSYS software were used to establish the finite element model of mandibular body defect reconstruction with fibula after healing and fixation with miniplates, to simulate contralateral molar vertical loading, and to analyze stress changes of corresponding regions of the fibula and mandible before and after the remove of titanium plate.
