Objective: Patients undergoing dental extraction are routinely given a plain gauze pad to bite on to assist in haemostasis.However, post-extraction bleeding is still a common complication.Tea is one of the most widely consumed beverages in the world.It contains polyphenols (known as catechins), which is a specific type of tannin believed to have haemostatic effect.The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tea bag as routine post extraction haemostasis pad.
