Purpose To evaluate the effect of intravenous triamcinolone acetonide (TA) on retina ganglion cells (RGCs) survival in optic nerve crush (ONC) in the Rat.Methods Experimental optic nerve crush was induced in each right eye of adult Sprague-Dawley rats by standard operating procedures.Following this,the right eyes were injected intravitreally with lul TA (80 mg/ml TA) or 1ul PBS.
