Purpose:Thyroid-associated orbitopathy (TAO) is a site-specific manifestation of autoimmune thyroid disease which causes expansion in orbital adipose tissue and extraocular muscles.This study aims to characterize orbital adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal cells (ADMCs) as target cells involved in a key pathogenic process:adipogenesis.
