Aim: To investigate whether 20(R)-ginsenoside Rg3 (20(R)-Rg3) exhibits neuroprotective effect against delayed neuronal injury induced by transient cerebral ischemia and reperfusion in rats.Methods: Adult male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were subjected to transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) for 2 h, then reperfusion for 72 h.
