A convenient, sensitive, and accurate analytical method using reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with ultraviolet-visible detection was investigated for the determination of 14 compounds (gardoside, shanzhiside, geniposidic acid, methyl deacetyl aspsrulosidate, gardenoside, scandoside methyl ester, genipin-1-β-D-gentiobioside, geniposide, 6"-p-coumaroyl genipin gentiobioside, chlorogenic acid, Crocin I, Crocin Ⅱ, Crocin Ⅲ and croceic acid) in crude and stir-fried samples of gardenia jasminoides.
