According to TASS, the Arab Republic of Egypt Academy of Sciences proposes that an international conference be held in Cairo in 1990 to discuss the issue of bringing together countries in the world in the field of forecasting natural disasters and fighting their destructive consequences. This is reported by Middle East News Agency. The news agency pointed out that Egypt has cooperated with many countries and international organizations in resolving these issues. These include working with the United Nations Development Program to formulate a national plan for the Arab Republic of Egypt to mobilize all measures to prevent natural disasters. The main objectives of the plan are: to identify areas in danger of earthquakes and to take the necessary safety measures in these areas; to take systematic measures to prevent debris flow and prevent landslides; to carry out measures to prevent desertification from being cultivated by mankind
