对于郑板桥这个名字,恐怕不知道的人不多。他那“难得糊涂”的条幅,可谓警世名言。在封建清王朝,他能做到不阿权贵、清正廉明,也算得上是一个清官了。可谁曾想到,他也有“失误”的时候,也曾“糊涂”过一回。其教训颇令人玩味,值得今人深思。据《清朝野史大观》载,扬州城内有一富豪为得板桥书画,探得他爱吃狗肉,特意在闹市区开酒店卖狗肉。一日板桥前往瘦西湖观景,忽闻狗肉飘香,趁兴饱食一顿。待到付钱时,店主再三推辞。正巧板桥囊中羞涩,倾囊也不够数。板桥无奈,又觉过意不去,遂作书画赠之。想不到这恰合店主之意。事后板桥得知店主早就对他有所求之,悔之莫及。
