森林资源是林业生产力的重要要素之一。森林蓄积生长量,是森林群落最为活跃、最为积极、最有生命力的基本生产力。它是制定林业区划、林业规划、林业计划,编制森林开发利用方案,组织森林经营的重要依据。因此加强森林的科学管理,及时准确地预测森林蓄积生长量,以逐步实现森林资源的永续利用,是当前林业经营工作中一项十分紧迫的任务。
