某些野果富含营养物质和药用成分，具有较高的食用及医药价值。野生果树资源中的许多种类被世人称之为“高营养、高抗性的第三代果树”。我国野生果树资源丰富，对世界各国果树生产和科研的发展起过重大作用。但是，长期以来没有引起足够重视。不仅缺乏深入的考察研究，而且破坏野果资源的问题屡屡发生。这种状况，亟待扭转。笔者仅就野果资源现状、经济价值、保护中的问题和开发利用途径，阐明了自己的观点和意见。
Some wild berries are rich in nutrients and medicinal ingredients and have high food and medicinal value. Many species of wild fruit trees are called “the third generation fruit tree of high nutrition and high resistance”. The rich fruit resources in our country have played a significant role in the development of fruit trees and scientific research all over the world. However, it has not drawn enough attention for a long time. Not only the lack of in-depth study and research, but also the problem of destruction of wild fruit resources often occur. This situation is in urgent need of reversal. Only on the status of the wild fruit resources, economic value, protection issues and ways of development and utilization, the author clarifies his point of view and opinions.
