20世纪以来,太平洋两岸见证了一场轰轰烈烈的比较文学研究。中西诗歌比较研究中,赵毅衡与朱徽两位学者在各自的著作中都谈到了中唐诗人白居易对当代美国的赖特的影响。王佐良认为这两个诗人有不可忽略的相似。张隆溪在《同工异曲:跨文化阅读的启示》中提到,不同的文化常常巧合地在近似的观念和主题上表现出一致,这就是文化的“呼应”。本文借助平行研究方法分析白居易与赖特之间的种种巧合,试图证实这两个隔着时空的诗人,的确存在着灵魂深处的呼应。
Since the 20th century, both sides of the Pacific have witnessed a vigorous comparative literature study. In the comparative study of Chinese and Western poetry, Zhao Yiheng and Zhu Hui talked about the influence of Bai Juyi on the contemporary American Wright in his own writings. Wang Zuoliang thinks the two poets have similarities that can not be ignored. Zhang Longxi mentioned in “The Same Work Different Currents: Intercultural Reading Enlightenment” that different cultures often coincidently show similarities in concepts and themes. This is cultural “echo.” This article analyzes the coincidence between Bai Juyi and Wright through the parallel research method, trying to prove that the two poets separated by time and space do exist the deep echo of the soul.
