去年9月3日,是中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法斯战争胜利65周年纪念日,也是张自忠将军殉国70周年。张自忠是以上将军衔和集团军总司令身份为国捐躯的,是中国在抗日战争中战死沙场的最高将领。当年,张自忠殉国后,身为排长的郭荣昌参加敢死队冒死抢回了他的遗骸。后来,郭荣昌成为地下党。如今,生活在河南省泌阳县农村93岁高龄的郭荣昌,成为亲历那段历史的唯一幸存者。
On September 3 last year, it marked the 65th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War and the 70th anniversary of the death of General Zhang Zizhong. Zhang Zizhong, who took the rank of general and the commander in chief of the Army, sacrificed his life for the country and was the highest general of China who died in the war of resistance against Japanese aggression. That year, after Zhang Zizhong died in martyrdom, Guo Rongchang, a platoon leader, took part in the death squads to snatch back his remains. Later, Guo Rongchang became a underground party. Today, Guo Rongchang, 93, who lives in rural Biyang County, Henan Province, is the only survivor who has witnessed that period of history.
