把新闻信息当做资源来看待和开发,已经为新闻实践所普遍接受。实践者和理论研究者常常提及“新闻资源”一词,但往往限于说者随意,听者意会的层次,没有进行严格的定义。 笔者以为,“新闻资源”概念应该有广义和狭义之分:所谓广义的新闻资源,是指新闻媒体借以维持自身的生存发展,实现自我的多种社会功能和经济功能的所有资源的总称,它包括新闻信息资源、媒体人力资源、物力资源、制度资源等等。而狭义的新闻
Viewing and developing news and information as a resource has become generally accepted by news practice.
