当前,手机、“掌上电脑”和PDA(Personal Digital Assistant,个人信息助理)等手持式电子设备满足了人们无处不在的通讯需求。然而,手持式电子设备的教育功用还远未得到充分发挥,仅作为一种辅助学生课外自学的“边缘工具”。究其原因,主要是缺乏行之有效且科学的策略和模式。因此,笔者从手持式电子设备与英语教学整合出发,探索其在英语教学中的作用,使其成为提高英语课堂教学效率、扩展课堂广度、增加课堂深度的重要手段。
Currently, hand-held electronic devices such as cell phones, PDAs and PDAs (Personal Digital Assistants) address the ubiquitous communication needs of people. However, the educational function of handheld electronic devices is far from being fully realized, only as an “edge tool” to assist students in self-study after class. The reason is mainly lack of effective and scientific strategies and models. Therefore, starting with the integration of handheld electronic devices and English teaching, the author explores its role in English teaching and makes it become an important means to improve the efficiency of English classroom teaching, expand classroom breadth and increase classroom depth.
