I give you a knife或俄语的H刀am BaM(ozu~i)Ho>I<.那么根据机器翻译系统完善的程度,可能会有三种汉语译文
I gave you a knife! Two years ago, Professor Ichiro Miyata of the Department of Chinese at Kyoto Foreign Studies University visited Shanghai. When we talk about teaching Chinese as a foreign language, I give an example: Because students do not know how to use quantifiers, they say “I give you a knife” as “I’ll give you a knife!” Professor Miyada made a laugh after listening Stabbing people with knives and saying that Chinese is not easy to learn. This year (January 1991) January 25, I was invited to Shanghai Jiaotong University to participate in the MT meeting. In the review process, I cite this example again. I say that if you give the computer a translation of English I give you a knife or a Russian speaker, then there may be three Chinese translations depending on how well the MT system is refined
