铀矿在火成岩中的复杂性,导致了掘进量的增多,因而有必要对采掘比进行讨论和计算,以求出其极限采掘比。 首先,根据国际市场U_3O_8的价格或国家允许的铀金属价格计算出水冶厂对铀矿石品位的要求,再以矿石浸出性能,计算耗酸品位当量来修正铀矿石的品位。根据地质品位、矿脉厚度及贫化率计算出可能得到的铀矿石品位。另外从水冶产品价格(以每吨铀计)及其生产费用、铀回收率等计算所需铂晶位的矿石量,并求出每吨矿石的成本限额。从成本限额中减去纯采矿成本及管理费后,所余金额即为容许的掘进费用;再被每米掘进成本除之,得出平均经济采掘比限额。在一个矿区中几个矿床(或矿脉)同时开采时,且其中某一矿床(或矿脉)采掘比较大,但全矿平均采掘比仍接近平均经济采掘比限额时,那末上述的矿床(或矿脉)的采掘比即为极限采掘比。
